Free indie games

235 free indie games:

I would especially recommend Iji, Cave Story, Spelunky, Hurrican, Trilby: The Art of Theft and Eternal Daughter. Eternal Daughter is quite difficult though.

Other games from Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, the developer of Trilby:

5 Days a Stranger and Trilby's Notes are really, really good adventure / horror games.

Finally, Mondo Medicals and Mondo Agency from here:

As you might notice, this Cactus guy is specialized in making pretty fucked up games. Some of them are quite interesting though.

Oh yeah. Blender is an absolutely great program. I've been using it every now and then and been meaning to learn it beyond the basics, but I really haven't done anything with it in the last few years.. stuff keeps getting in the way.

For people who don't know what we are talking about: http://www.blender.org/

Oh and more on the topic: I have been playing Ainevoltas 2 and can add it to my list of recommendations. Nice little polished platformer / light RPG.

Yeah in 2.5beta they changed the UI. Much nicer to work with. Cant wait for the full release to see what other goodies they add in. I say 10 years tops and blender will be competing with the major modeling and animation applications. And, the fact it's free just makes it that much better. I mean, who wants to spend $5k for one application? Maya and 3DS cost just alittle more than my PC. I just hope they dont get bought out by autodesk cause that would suck.

Past couple of years blender has really started to make a name for it self with all these open movie projects. I intend to one day start a project based on the book Anthem but have it in episodes. It's going to be a lot of work, but once the modeling is done for everything, then the project is half way done.

The intent is to get my name out there and show my skills and directing abilities.

It's called loneliness for a reason.

They aren't free, but HumbleBundle.com, IndieRoyale.com, and IndieGala.com offer lots of Indie games in bundles, most of which are pay what you want, and some of the proceeds going to charity. IndieGameStand.com offers 1 Indie title at a discount every 3 days as well.

HumbleBundle is awesome, I've bought into the last three.

Never heard of the other two... Got any more details on them? Are they in the same model as the Bundle?
